This page forgets your ticks when you close it. QuickPack keeps them, works out how many of each to bring from your dates, and reminds you before you go.
Three things to know before you pack.
-
Rent the big things if you fly
Skis, boots and a helmet can be rented at most resorts. That saves the airline's fee for a ski bag, and a lot of carrying.
-
Goggles and gloves in the cabin bag
If the suitcase is late, those are the two things that are hard to rent and that end a ski day without them.
-
Sunscreen on the mountain
The sun is stronger at altitude and snow reflects it. Cover your face and lips, on cloudy days too.
Frequently asked questions
How many base layers do I need for a week of skiing?
Two or three sets. They dry overnight, so you can alternate. Bring a fresh pair of ski socks for every day or two.
What do I wear when I am not skiing?
Warm casual clothes: a hoodie or sweater, comfortable pants, boots with grip for icy streets, and slippers for the chalet or hotel.
